Covid wasn’t going to prevent David and Larissa from getting married! Faith Center Foursquare Church in Eureka was the setting for this intimate wedding. @Celebration Boulevard worked with Corrina, the Facilities Manager, to create something beautiful for the couple.
The bride and groom chose a minimalist décor style. @Arcata Florist created a gorgeous bouquet including succulents within the blooms. The bride has a degree in botany and has long worked with succulents. Just as on wedding days in normal times, the bride spent time with her mother in the bride’s room. Such a special time before the ceremony. David and his father put together gift bags before heading off to get ready for the ceremony.
As part of the Covid protocol, temperatures were taken at the door and no mingling was permitted. Each guest was given a ceremony bag with a mask, sanitizer, and tissues and then escorted to their designated seats. Friends and family were so thrilled to be here during this time of few gatherings that there was quite a buzz in the room. They celebrated while distanced from each other in the romantically candle lit ceremony space. We were not able to adjust the Covid required layout of chairs so knowing how many guests in each household was important. Guests were very understanding.
Because chairs could not be moved to create the traditional aisle, candles were used to create one. The bride was escorted by her parents to the waiting David. The Pastor from Larissa’s church officiated the ceremony. The black drape behind the couple, the lowered lights in the sanctuary and the pin lights on the couple created such an ethereal and romantic feeling. @EvanWishPhotography captured that feeling so well while staying distanced from guests. While there were safety precautions, distancing, and a smaller guest count, the love, emotion, and joy were as present as they are at any ceremony.
We don’t see Receiving Lines often any more. But, this tradition was just the ticket for Covid times! Several canopies were erected earlier in the day. @CassarosCatering had delicious boxed reception meals ready for the guests. Guests followed the lead car in the drive through Receiving Line. They picked up their boxed meal, a Mia Bella Cupcake, and a gift bag with more goodies! Each car drove forward to give their good wishes to the couple from a distance. This was a glorious October afternoon in so many ways and Celebration Boulevard was thrilled to refer the amazing @Arcata Florist, @EvanWishPhotography, and @CassarosCatering. It made the day perfection!
